James joined LDV in 2016 as General Manager for Scarpetta’s flagship in NYC. Demonstrating a true understanding for genuine hospitality, operational leadership and guest experience, James continued his growth with LDV, leading all food and beverage operations at the James New York NoMad Hotel.

In 2005, James was hired as the youngest manager at Philippe by Philippe Chow; and it was there that he determined that hospitality was his true career path. During his time at Philippe, James was involved in the brand’s expansion to The Hamptons, Miami and LA.

James has also worked at Ciano with Iron Chef winner Shea Galante, and at Kyma, an upscale Greek restaurant in New York, which earned 4-stars from the New York Times.

James believes the heart of service is an understanding of the importance in attention to detail and care, along with authentic enthusiasm.
